Galaxy Tab S4, the new Samsung tablet pro 

Unlike smartphones, it's not every day that you see a new Android tablet, and it's even rarer when it comes to a high-end model. So do not sulk our pleasure to discover the Galaxy Tab S4.

Samsung's new flagship tablet has a Super AMOLED 10.5 "display (2560 x 1600 pixels). The Tab S4 (249.3 x 164.3 mm) is a little smaller than the iPad Pro 10.5 ", but slightly thicker and heavier (7.1 mm, 482 g).

It does not have a home button unlike previous models. The next generation of iPad Pro would also follow this path by replacing Touch ID with Face ID. The Galaxy Tab S4 for its part on the recognition of iris and face.

Samsung presents its tablet as a two-in-one device "designed for people who want to do more mobility." When the tablet is connected to an external USB-C display or when placed on its keyboard (sold separately and connected with a Smart Connector equivalent), the DeX interface appears to enjoy a desktop environment with windows , a taskbar and mouse management, among others.

If all the apps are far from taking advantage of the possibilities of DeX (resizing, keyboard shortcuts, drag-and-drop, etc.), at least we can all launch them in this environment and Samsung is trying to make Android more productive on tablet, which Google does not care.

The Galaxy Tab S4, which is connected to an external display, can be transformed into a giant trackpad or a graphics tablet. The S Pen, which has been redesigned to look more like a real pen in hand, is included.

The components are good: Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64/256 GB of storage (expandable with a microSD card), Bluetooth 5.0, four speakers, 7,300 mAh battery, Cat.16 optional modem ( up to 1 Gbit / s), 13 and 8 MP cameras.

The Galaxy Tab S4 will be on sale August 24 from € 699. For any pre-order from August 10th to 23rd, a Keyboard Cover, equivalent to Smart Cover, worth € 149 will be offered.
